US&S Obtains Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Certification with the South Carolina Unified Certification Program and U.S. Department of Transportation

Greenville, S.C. Universal Supplies & Services, Inc. (US&S) is pleased to announce that the company has obtained approval from the South Carolina Unified Certification Program (SCUCP) to be recognized as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). The scope of this certification focuses on facilities support services (janitorial, security, remediation, grounds, and general maintenance) and electrical contracting, but subject to change in the future based on the direction of the company. US&S will be recognized as a DBE by multiple recipients that receive federal financial assistance within South Carolina, such as the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), and is now authorized to conduct business directly with these agencies.

US&S has three primary business units including: US&S Electrical, US&S Construction, and US&S Facilities Support Services. These units provide supply chain solutions and services to government, commercial, healthcare, and industrial clients. US&S holds US SBA 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) certifications.
