US&S Appoints Matthew Smith as the New Chief Operating Officer
GREENVILLE, SC — US&S, a Greenville-based facility solutions provider recognized for its commitment to quality, sustainability, and service, proudly announces the appointment of Matthew Smith as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
With over 20 years of experience in leadership and operational management, Smith will lead initiatives to optimize resources, drive performance excellence, and enable USַַַ&S’s scalable, long-term growth. His role will be instrumental in translating the company’s strategic vision into execution, while ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality facility services across its client portfolio.

Before joining US&S, Smith served as a U.S. Army Combined Arms Aviator, holding multiple leadership positions culminating in battalion command. His distinguished military career provided extensive experience in cross-functional coordination, operational planning, systems development, and organizational leadership.
Following his military service, Smith joined Cisco Systems as a Customer Success Executive, aligning Cisco’s IT capabilities with customer business objectives. He also served as the lead operational planner supporting the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Chief of Communications (J6), where he developed and implemented a multi-national engagement strategy across more than 20 countries in Southeast Asia.
Smith holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Arts from the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees from Dickinson College. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Based in Greenville, South Carolina, Smith is focused on advancing US&S’s operational excellence and supporting the company’s continued growth and commitment to delivering sustainable, high-quality services to customers and communities.
