The company has been on a migration path toward this action since the creation of our logo early last year and our ongoing rebranding efforts.
We believe that the company's new name and logo conveys an image of modernity and professionalism that is consistent with the reality of the organization and what it is becoming in the marketplace.

Greenville, SC - Universal Supplies & Services, Inc. (US&S) is pleased to announce that the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in Washington, D.C., has officially approved the company's proposed Mentor Protégé Partnership with McCrory Construction Company, LLC (McCrory), out of Columbia, SC.
The purpose of the 8(a) SBA Mentor Protégé Program is to enhance the development of Protégé firms and encourage approved Mentors to provide various forms of assistance to eligible 8(a) participants to ensure growth of contracting opportunity experience and overall financial viability. Greenville, S.C. Universal Supplies & Services, Inc. (US&S) is pleased to announce that the company has obtained approval from the South Carolina Unified Certification Program (SCUCP) to be recognized as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). The scope of this certification focuses on facilities support services (janitorial, security, remediation, grounds, and general maintenance) and electrical contracting, but subject to change in the future based on the direction of the company. US&S will be recognized as a DBE by multiple recipients that receive federal financial assistance within South Carolina, such as the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), and is now authorized to conduct business directly with these agencies.

Universal Supplies and Services, Inc. (US&S) was established in 2003, by then retired Naval Commander Richard Hagins. His goal was to offer to churches design concepts, architectural drawings, civil structural, site design and construction. In 2006, the company's areas of interest were redefined to include environmental services, general construction, general maintenance and procurement of supplies and equipment. Universal Supplies & Services, Inc. has grown to a three-division company providing facility services, procurement as well as construction contracting. Universal Supplies & Services, Inc. holds a general contractors license.
His continued success and growth of US&S was highlighted with the Greenville Chamber of Commerce recognizing the business as its Minority Business of the Year for 2006. Mr. Hagins was appointed by the Governor of South Carolina as a Commissioner of Minority Affairs for the State of South Carolina. Additionally, he is on the Board of Trustees for the Blood Connection and has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the South Carolina State Ports Authority. This year, Universal Supplies and Services Inc., has added a new focus, which involves pursuing government contracts that will involve active partnerships with local businesses.
